Also known as barn doors, side-hinged garage doors are popularly installed in garages that have been converted into storage space or multipurpose rooms.

Options which are insulated with draft sealing are ideal for this purpose.

Fixed on conventional hinges, they provide great security, with automatic options providing easy access.

They split into equal or asymmetric configurations i.e. ½ ½ or ⅓ ⅔, enabling one or both doors to be opened as required.

Window options made of polycarbonate or laminated safety glass can also be added.

The garage door side hinged model is the perfect option, as one section can be used for vehicles while another provides a safe alternative for pedestrian traffic.

Security is another factor to consider, when opening your garage you only have to open one side, if you do not need to get your car in, this means you are not exposing all of the contents of your garage on view when the door is open.

Inner space is also another very real concern which can be addressed through the use of side hinged doors. For example, it can be difficult to install a vertically opening door if there is little headroom within your garage, or you have shelving, gas meters, electrical units or even where the front of the garage is sectioned of to create a storage area. By opening outwards our hinged doors enable you to fully leverage your interior space.
