Garage door projects range from simple like-for-like replacements to complex structural work, and two recent jobs show both ends of that scale.
In Huntingdon, a homeowner wanted a classic look for their twin garage. Our surveyor measured the openings and talked through the options, including electric operation and colour upgrades. The customer chose two manually operated up and over doors in white powder-coated Georgian panelling to replace their old canopy doors. The doors comply with BS EN 13241, with a multiple spring system that continues to support the door’s weight if one spring breaks.
Another Cambridgeshire project was more involved. The customer wanted to replace two separate openings with a single, wider automatic sectional door so they could park and manoeuvre two high-end cars safely. That meant a new lintel as well as the door, and the customer had struggled to coordinate the trades required. We took responsibility for the complete job and finished it within a day. The customer described the experience as stress-free and said the result exceeded their expectations.
