Installed price vs. door type

Understanding how installed prices vary between different door types is an important part of planning your project. Our guide outlines typical costs for each style, supported by clear guideline figures and real‑world examples for the home. Because installations often differ slightly in size, specification, and structural condition, our doors are made-to-measure. Put simply, two projects are rarely ever exactly the same.

All guide prices shown refer to a fully installed door and are subject to a professional survey. For the most accurate quotation and tailored recommendations, we always recommend speaking directly with a specialist who can assess your requirements in full. Eastern Garage Doors will always ensure you receive the correct size, colour, and specification based on your preferences.

FAQs

Here we have answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help make sure you have the information you need.

Can you fit an automatic operator to my existing door?

Most can be converted to automatic use. If you can contact us with the details of your existing set up then we can advise you more accurately. Alternatively, we can arrange a free site survey.

Can you match the finishes to my windows?

Yes we can! Woodgrain effect and coloured windows can be matched to any RAL colour. Bear in mind that there can be tonal differences between manufacturers.

How long does it take to get a new door fitted?

Most standard garage doors take six to eight weeks from placing your order to arrival, however some take several weeks. We aim to install them at your property within one week of their arrival. However, we hold a large selection of commonly installed doors in stock and can normally cater for emergency situations where there is a security risk.

What size do I need?

It can be helpful to know average single and double sizes but bear in mind that they can vary in dimensions depending on the age of the house, location, and whether the garage is attached or detached.

Your customer service and products have been of the highest standard and we are both very happy with the garage door. Your installer was polite efficient and explained things to us very well. The door is working perfectly. You have two very satisfied customers!

SUCCESS! After two poor experiences with garage door fitting companies who let me down, I was delighted when I found the Eastern Group. From the beginning this was a positive experience. An excellent tidy job, all original rotten door frame removed & replaced & new door fitted all in approx two & half hours. They took away all of the old fittings & the door. I consider the new door of excellent quality & the tidy installation works perfectly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product & the business like procedures at Eastern Group.

Brigid

A good friend of ours recommended EGD. From our first contact with them, through the process’ of initial contact, site visit, installation and post installation follow up, they have been excellent. Delivering what they said, when that said they would. A thoroughly refreshing experience in today’s skewed environment. Highly recommended

In a word, Excellent. The fitter arrived early morning as arranged and immediately began to get organised and started fitting the 2 garage doors. He worked quickly and tidily and did a fantastic job.
