A Georgian refresh

We completed this project in Huntingdon on a residential property with a twin garage giving the homeowner a classic style.

Eastern Garage Doors’ surveyor, Austin visited the property and conducted a thorough survey to ascertain the dimensions and fitting options relating to the structure of the garage opening.

After discussing various options with the client, including electric operation with a retractable gear and colour upgrades, they opted for two manually operated Hörmann white powder coated up and over Georgian panelled designs as an alternative look to their previous canopy doors.

Notably, it has safety features built into its design to comply with the latest BS EN 13241 standard 13241-1. These include a lever arm multiple spring system to stop the door from inadvertently crashing if one breaks after many years of use – the weight of the door will still be supported.
